“OPPORTUNITIES FOR NEW TRAINING COOPERATION”
Globalization has influenced all nations in the world economically, politically, culturally and educationally. To develop education, each nation needs to open to the world. Vietnam’s integration into the World Trade Organization has created both advantages and challenges. It is vital that Vietnamese universities be aware of this in order to have appropriate strategies for integration.
From this point of view, the Central Teachers’ University of Arts proposed to the Ministry of Education and Training the permission to send a delegation to visit China and the proposal was approved. On 18th November 2007, the delegation went to Beijing and started to visit some leading pedagogic universities of China. In two days 19th and 20th November 2007, the delegation worked with Capital Normal University and Beijing Normal University.

After listening to the introduction about School of art, D.Sc. Pham Le Hoa said that this is the first visit for two universities. In fact, the two Governments have had a long and close relationship. During the struggle against Imperialism, China had only 750 million people. At that time President Mao Ze Dong claimed that Chinese people would stand side by side to support Vietnam. Also at this time Vietnamese party and Government paid attention to art education. Central Teachers’ University of Arts was established under this setting. Besides music and painting training, the university has opened Cultural management and Fashion designing programs. The university intends to open more sectors relating to art to meet the requirements of society. D.Sc. Pham Le Hoa said he hoped that this visit would be brought to future cooperation between two universities. He added that in order to come to cooperation in the near future, two sides can exchange training programs to have student exchange especially for last year students. D.Sc. Pham Le Hoa emphasized that this could become truth if both sides had strong determination. He affirmed that there were many interesting things to be explored in Vietnamese art and Vietnamese people. D.Sc. Pham Le Hoa officially invited Hua Dong University to visit Central Teachers’ University of Arts.
