On March 13, 2019, the National University of Art Education (NUAE) was honored to welcome the delegation of the Association of Vietnam’s Universities and Colleges (AVUC) to visit and work at the University.
On the side of the AVUC, there are Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Xuan Nhi - Former Vice Minister of Education and Training, Vice Chairman of the Association; Dr. Le Viet Khuyen - Head of the University's Quality Assurance Department, Deputy Director of the Higher Education Department; Dr. Van Dinh Ung - Head of Association Information Committee, Former Deputy Chief of Office of Ministry of Education and Training; M.A. Nguyen Dinh Khoa - Chief of the Association's Office, former Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Training; M.A. Pham Ngoc Lan - Deputy Head of Organization and Development Department of the Association, former Deputy Director of the Center for Teacher Training and Managers, Education Management Academy.
On the other side of the NUAE, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Dang Phuong - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector; comrades in the Executive Committee of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors and leaders of the units.

Opening the meeting, Associate Prof. Dr. Tran Xuan Nhi - Former Deputy Minister of Education and Training, Vice Chairman of the Association said the purpose of the delegation was to discuss and consult on the establishment of the art training teachers club aim to gather the voices of member units in proposing to the Government on guidelines and policies on the issue of art education training in schools today. He affirmed: "The National University of Art Education has an important role in bringing together universities and colleges to train art teachers, to build and develop a strong club".
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the NUAE, Associate Prof. Dr. Dao Dang Phuong - Secretary of the Party Committee, the Rector of the University presented a brief outline of the achievements of the University in the past years. In particular, one of the important achievements, increasing the position and prestige of the University is that in July 2018, the NUAE was recognized to meet the quality standards of education and certification of quality accreditation. This is an important milestone marking the new development path of the National University of Art Education, improving the position and prestige of the University, creating trust with society and learners about quality, prestige and influence of the University throughout the country.

Besides, the university is also directly assigned by the Minister of Education and Training to act as the focal point for the construction of art teachers in schools. Implementing the mission, the university has planned to build a specific program. On March 21, 2019, two Japanese experts on music education will go to the NUAE to train on innovating art teaching in high schools. After that, at the end of March 2019, the University will hold a national seminar on training art teachers for high schools. In addition, the university is also actively promoting international cooperation activities on training and scientific research with many universities in the world such as Russia, Italy, China, Laos etc. including student exchange content to study and research in partner country. With the affirmation of its position and role in art pedagogical training, the university hopes to meet the duties of Association of Vietnam’s Universities and Colleges entrusted.
At the meeting, the delegation and the leaders of the university also exchanged frankly, specifically the contents of building the art teacher training club such as: the name of the club, the club management board, members, etc.
