Vu Ha Trang - K4A student of National University of Art Education’s Faculty of Vocal Music won Gold Prize at the Asia Pacific Music Festival in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
A pupil of Nguyen Cong Tru High School from the ancient capital of Ninh Binh loves singing from a young age - Student Vu Ha Trang comes to the music seriously and methodically when taking the exam and enrolling in Faculty of Vocal Music, Course 4, National University of Art Education (NUAE). In the process of learning Vu Ha Trang is always serious, trying to learn to have a good voice with the desire to create a mark in the audiences’ hearts. Asia Pacific Music Festival held in the capital of the Malaysia is an opportunity for Trang to learn more about the other countries’ culture and arts and show her singing ability with artists of different ages from countries and regions such as Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei and Vietnam, etc.

Demonstrating a soprano voice from Giacomo Puccini's opera Gianni Schicchi (1918) with the song "O mio babbino caro" (roughly translated as "My dear father"), Vu Ha Trang - K4A student, Faculty of Vocal Music, the National University of Art Education have conquered the judges with good vocals and quite perfect vocal techniques and performing skills very confident on the stage.

According to Meritorious Artist Tran Mai Tuyet - Head of the Faculty of Vocal Music - NUAE, "Student Vu Ha Trang possesses a bright Soprano voice with beautiful timbre. She participated in the Asia Pacific Music Festival, which won the special gold prize of the competition. For such good results, in the course of the instruction, the instructors in the Faculty of Vocal Music provide technical guidance so that she can handle the steam in the verses. Opera works to participate in the contest, she fully absorb the techniques transferred by the teachers along with the experience of participating in the performance of the Vietnam Television Station's recording camera or in the events that she was invited to gave her confidence to successfully complete the Opera singing competition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 2018. Our student Vu Ha Trang was also selected by VTV to participate in the program "Change life ”and went to Korea to carry out this project with my own efforts and with the help of Korean experts so far she have become one of the most impressive characters in the process since nearly 80kg reduced to 52 kg and became a very hot "student" singer ".

The contest had a very large number of contestants so I was very worried. But thanks to the teaching of the teachers in the Faculty of Vocal Music and especially of the Meritorious Artist Tran Mai Tuyet, lecturer Nguyen Thi Mai Huong helped me to be confident enough to express best opera voice had convinced the jury. The reward of the hardworking process that helped me to win the Gold Award made me very touched and remembered immediately the teachers in the Faculty of Vocal Music, who always guided me on the way to conquer the pinnacle of art”.

To help many young passionate people on singing and succeeding like Vu Ha Trang, the 2019 University Entrance Examination, the Faculty of Vocal Music of the NUAE will recruit 60 new students. In order to attend the entrance exam into the Faculty of Vocal Music, young people need to graduate from grade 12, review writing points through 3-year high school transcripts or graduation papers.
