The research results of the project “’ Compiling and pilot teaching the books ‘The environment with our life’ for grade 1, 2, 3 pupils” were reported and defended successfully by NUAE coordinating group on the 22 June, 2010 at Ministry of Education and The research results of the project “’ Introducing folk songs into secondary schools’ were reported and defended successfully by NUAE coordinating group on the 11th September, 2009 at Ministry of Education and Training.

Environmental education in schools is an important and meaningful task, which is getting more and more attention of the whole society. Education in schools is the direct and effective way to provide information, raise awareness of environmental protection for pupils who are large numbers in society today.
Using the images from comic stories which are interesting and attractive to the pupils to educate them on the environmental protection is an effective method. Therefore, the research outcomes were assessed highly.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Hanh, Department of Primary education said that the books show the talents and competence of NUAE’s scientists. The coordinators gave us valuable and unique materials for environmental education. The Chairman of the defending conference - Dr. Pham Ngoc Dinh concluded that “The research showed the project feasibility, its values for the environment education and primary education as well. The idea of applying visual arts as primary educational methods ensures the outcomes of the research”.

The project outcomes were highly accessed for its practical and professional values. All of participated people did hope that the project will be further implemented in Vietnamese education system.
