On 15 October 2007, in the bustling and excited atmosphere, the Central Teachers’ University of Arts solemnly held the ceremony of the first day of the academic year of 2007-2008.
Taking part in the ceremony, on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Training are Pro. Dr. Sc. Banh Tien Long - Permanent Deputy Minister of Ministry of Education and Training, Dr. Vu Viet Hung - Director of the Department of Central Propaganda and Training, Ms Hoang Lan Phuong – Vice Director of the Department of Tertiary and Post Graduate Education; participants from Vietnam Education Union; rectors and vice-rectors of some friendly Colleges of Culture and Arts; some press agencies are Vietnam New Agency, Hanoi Television, Age Education Newspaper, Dan tri Newspaper; on the side of the Central Teachers’ University of Arts are Dr. Sc Pham Le Hoa - Party Committee Secretary and Rector of the University, all members of the University’s managing board, representatives of University’s Union, Youth Union, Student Union, representatives of faculties, departments, cards, teachers and students of the University.
After the ceremony of saluting the National Flag, the rector solemnly delivered the whole letter which Mr Do Muoi - Former General Secretary of the Vietnamese Communist Party sent to cards, teachers and students of the University on the occasion of the the first day of the academic year: 2007-2008. Mr Muoi acclaimed the university's achievements and showed his high hope that the university will keep its efforts on improvement of teaching quality in order to train more and more teachers of arts meeting the increasing need of society.
The academic year of 2006-2007 has already closed. However, the deeply respected university's achievements help enhancing its position and reputation among other universities over the country. This clearly contributes to the happy and excited atmosphere of the university day. The achievements have been confirmed by the leaders of Ministry of Education and Training. 'These achievements result in the continuing efforts of not only the Central Pedagogic College of Music and Painting for thirty six years but also the Central Teachers' University of Arts for over a year. As soon as its foundation from the Central Pedagogic College of Music and Painting, this university has many great changes and achievements in the fields of education, research, strengthening and consolidating its apparatus, standardizing teaching staff and improving its materials facilities for studying and teaching activities' stated in the ceremony by Pro. Dr. Sc. Banh Tien Long - Permanent Deputy Minister of Ministry of Education and Training.
At the ceremony, Dr. Sc Pham Le Hoa - Party Committee Secretary and Rector of the University congratulated over 600 newly matriculated students and remarkable achievements of the university. Besides, after pointing out the action plans and specific tasks of the University in the academic year of 2007-2008, he called upon all cards, teachers and students of the University to strive together for carrying out well such tasks.
The Ceremony of the First Day of the New Academic Year of 2007-2008 has been crowned with great success giving the signals of the success of the coming academic year.
