Sustainable Development Commitment Signing Ceremony of Voyage Project “Opportunities for the young and graduates employability in Vietnam”

        On 4th October 2018, National University of Art Education with members of the project in Vietnam coordinated to inter-university consortium AlmaLaurea held the signing ceremony of the Sustainable Development Commitment of Voyage Project for next phase at the University of Pavado, Italy. This activity is part of the project to increase access to labor market for Vietnamese students.

         The VOYAGE project is part of a series of capacity building projects in the field of higher education, carried out in 2015 under the auspices of the Inter-university Consortium AlmaLaurea, funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union completed the trial phase. These are transnational cooperation projects built on the basis of multilateral partnerships, between European educational development organizations and universities around the world, implemented on the basis of common goals such as providing enterprises with online tools for evaluating and recruiting highly qualified personnel; to develop database of bachelor graduates from universities in Vietnam, enabling graduates to access information on internship/employment opportunities.

         Attending the event, on behalf of the Vietnamese counterpart, were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu, Deputy Director of the Department for Cooperation and Development, Vietnam International Education Cooperation Department (Ministry of Education and Training); Assoc. Prof. Doctor Dao Dang Phuong - Rector of National University of Art Education, Assoc. Prof. Doctor Nguyen Van Trao - Rector of Hanoi University, Doctor Vu Van San - Director of Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, Mr. Nguyen Duc Quang - Vice Director of the Management Board of industrial parks and export processing Hanoi. On behalf of the European partners, there are representatives of the Inter-university consortium AlmaLaurea, the University of Padova (Italy), the University of Minho (Portugal) and the University of Barcelona (Spain).

       End of the testing period from 2015 to 2018, besides transferring the server, VOYAGE project technical system to Hanoi University (Vietnam) in June 2017 with the domain name http://voyage.hanu.vn, the project  has gained initial achievements such as the students of the National University of Art Education, Hanoi University, and the Post and Telecommunication Institute of Technology have the opportunity to access information on job opportunities/internship in Vietnam, participating in training activities to provide personal information to build Curriculum Vitea (CV) on the system, enterprises have access to the regularly updated databases of candidates, the universities have developed and completed the report on the 2016 graduates databate.

         As an active partner in the phase 1, members of the VOYAGE project in general and the National University of Art Education in particular signed the commitment to keep implementing necessary activities, contributing ideas, new and useful solutions for the sustainable development of VOYAGE project in the next phase; extending the development of the system to universities and enterprises to enhance the quality link between graduates, training institutions, enterprises and enhancing the employment opportunities for Vietnamese students.
